Day 70, Sunday November 1

Jeff was up early today, as usual. He says he woke up feeling good, but fell asleep again while waiting for Annette and breakfast to arrive. He said, "The nap snuck up on me! I wasn't planning on it." Ha! 

Unfortunately it left him feeling awful for the remainder of the day. He then said, "It will go away again tonight and tomorrow will be a better day." We are so grateful to see his optimism shine again! 

They were able to make it to the hospital's church meeting today. With Jeff feeling so yucky it was a difficult half hour for him to get through even though he expressed gratitude for the opportunity. 

They worked on therapy outside again. Today's transfers into and out of the truck were more successful despite Jeff not feeling well. Nothing keeps him from trying his best and we are grateful he had the energy to practice this again. 

One of the student therapists brought her fiance in to talk with Jeff. Four years ago she was a phone receptionist on the unit and he was a patient who had been injured in a mountain biking accident. Jeff and Annette really enjoyed talking with them. 

Greg Christopherson and Annette's parents, Clifton and Joyce Green, also came by to visit today. We are so grateful for their love and support! 

Annette wanted to make sure we mentioned that Perry Jones fixed her toe stubbing problem! He lifted the carpet (a gradual ascent) until it was even with the tile. She says it works great and looks great. 

Jeff learned how to zip up his jacket this past week and Annette took some pictures. Every success is worth celebrating!
