Day 76, Saturday Nov. 7
Jeff woke up at 2 am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Of course by the time the afternoon arrived and the busy parts of the day were over he fought taking a nap because of how he always feels afterward.
In the morning Annette did all of Jeff's cares and got him ready for the day without help. In fact, they saw the nurse and aid at about 8 am for Jeff's vitals and meds, and then didn't see either again until late afternoon.
In therapy they worked on transfers in and out of the truck again. It wasn't the best day for transfers and Annette said, "Some days are smooth and some days are not!"
They also went on a walk to Murray Park to enjoy the fall colors and get some fresh air.
Later Jeff got his hands pampered with a paraffin wax bath! This helps to loosen up the tendons and joints so his hands and fingers are more relaxed.
In the evening Jeff and Annette watched another movie. This time Annette ate some Target popcorn, courtesy of Cherie and Blake. Yum!
All in all it was a successful day. We are grateful Jeff didn't experience any other autonomic dysreflexia episodes today and hope that they won't be very frequent in the future.
