Jeff is now officially in Neuro rehab! The grueling hard work starts tomorrow and he is more than up to the challenge. There's no doubt that the Lord has heard our prayers.
The plan is to take things slowly and build up to more vigorous and more frequent therapy as he tolerates it. This phase of recovery is critical for developing the skills and abilities needed to return to a regular way of life. We know that while he may be limited physically, in time he'll be able to drive, be the brains of his business, and get back to the busy lifestyle he's always enjoyed.

We expect tough days ahead as he learns how to maneuver his body and relearn skills that used to be as easy as breathing. He will need all the encouragement and support we can give him. We are so grateful for the incredible network of friends and family who have shown their love for Jeff and our family, it is truly humbling.
Yesterday Annette came home from the hospital with a list of things Jeff would need for rehab. One of the items on the list was 5 sets of comfy clothes. As Annette & Cherie were looking through Jeff's clothes they realized that Jeff didn't really have any good shirts that would be comfy and breathable not to mention that the neck needed to be stretchy to fit over the neck brace and all his t-shirts were cotton and not fit at all for rehab. So, Cherie & Blake went to Target and bought Jeff three loose fitting breathable shirts and a pair of basketball shorts and took them to him at the hospital. When they showed Jeff the clothes they had bought he said, "those will work, they look like my style". This means that Cherie and Blake did a good job at choosing out the right clothes.
Jeff tried a wrap for lunch today and he said it was good, but he wouldn't get it again because it was the size of a softball and difficult to eat and Annette had a hard time cutting it up and keeping it all together.
Grandpa & Grandma Green (Annette's parents - Clifton & Joyce) came for a quick visit today. After Jeff ate lunch he was tired and wanted a nap so Cherie, Blake, Aliyah, Annette, Grandma & Grandpa left and went to lunch at Rumbi's while he slept.
The people in Rehab say that Jeff will be there for 6-8 weeks, but Jeff says he is shooting for 4-6 weeks.
Cherie said that it was really great to see her dad and see him continuing to make progress. It is also great to see him ready and eager to get going in rehab.

For the next several weeks, give or take, he'll remain in his current room.
