Today was described several times by both Jeff and Annette as being a relaxing day. They were able to take their time getting ready for the day and completing his morning chores.
With no therapy and very little energy anyway, Jeff only left his room once when Annette pushed him around outside to catch some sun.
Otherwise they watched the morning session of the LDS General Conference, had lunch and rested, then watched the afternoon session.
They pushed Jeff to one side of his mattress so Annette had room to lay with him and she spent much of the day relaxing in his arms. Jeff said, "It's nice to have her by my side."
The little things we take for granted are innumerable. Of course she's been with him every day since the accident, but for Jeff to actually have her physically next to him was a needed blessing for them both.
After Conference they relaxed some more and then watched a movie. After all the hard work Jeff's been doing we are grateful he's had some time to rest up. This coming week is sure to be as busy as ever and we are all looking forward to watching his progress.
Thank you all for being so patient with us about the blog updates being delayed. We'll try to be more regular with posting for your convenience. It means so much to us that you check in with how our dad is doing and also that you care about our family. We are so blessed!
