Day 60, Thursday October 22

Jeff woke up feeling slightly better today, but we are disappointed to say it didn't last. As the day wore on he felt worse again. He hasn't slept well lately. With so much to think about and consider it's been difficult for him to shut his brain off. 

In therapy they went outside again. They tried to use the slide board Ryan made to transfer Jeff into his Dodge truck and it was unsuccessful. It's been slightly frustrating that we can't always make the things we already have work for him.

With a lot of research he's come to the conclusion that he needs to get a super cab truck instead of a crew cab. There's been some difficulty locating one because they aren't as readily available. Jay will be looking at one in Draper on Monday, but most of the others they found online are out of state. 

Jeff had to sign some papers today so he practiced writing with different utensils. 

Jeff and Annette said it worked great. He also worked on stacking blocks in therapy and did well. 

Small triumphs are such a blessing.

Tonight Ron Brown and Dan DeVries dropped in. If there ever was a time Jeff needed uplifting, it's now. We are so grateful for all of his friends and family members who help to lift him up and remind him he's not alone in this. 

Terren and Stephanie also came to visit. It means so much to Jeff to have the support of his brothers and sisters 

and they really do make a difference as he works through this difficult time. 

We appreciate all of the love and concern for our dad. His struggles are very real, whether they be physical or emotional. We hope this phase of feeling so horrible will pass soon.

We are so very grateful for all of your prayers and positive thoughts. Please continue to plead to our Father in heaven with us that our dad may continue to improve. We know that with a little faith anything is possible.
