Jeff's Journey will be a place where family and friends can come to get updates on our dad's condition and progress. We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that this blog can serve not only as a place for updates but also as a journal of strength and remembrance. We have faith in our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ and we know that through our faith and perseverance our dad will be healed. Though we have been told that the chances are slim (1 in 200,000) that our dad will walk again, we will be by his side to help him beat those odds. Our dad will make it through this challenging trial and we will be there to help him every step of the way! We love you DAD & GRANDPA!!

Day 65, Tuesday October 27

Day 65, Tuesday October 27

Today started out pretty rough for everyone. Jeff said when he woke up there were 5 million things to get done, including stuff to do with taxes... everyone's favorite pastime! There were a lot of decisions to be made and phone calls to make today. 

Annette said everyone seemed to be on edge. Her day didn't start out very well either. The remodel on the house continues one step at a time. The new carpet was put down in her bedroom and there is a half inch difference with the tile in her bathroom so she keeps stubbing her toes! 

Jeff's blood pressure got pretty low this morning and his vision became blurry. They were short staffed again so it was difficult getting help to get him ready for the day. After all of his morning cares were finally completed he actually began feeling a little better. Thank heavens for small mercies! 

The truck they were looking at yesterday was purchased today! It was the only one that would work like he wanted within 500 miles of us. While it has more mileage on it than he would prefer, he is optimistic it will work well for him. 

He says they are going to lower it, rotate the tires, replace the tailgate latch, and remove the bug guard. Other than that it's in great shape. We are so grateful for Jay and Peggy's help with finding it and getting it to where it needs to be. 

Tonight the young women from Jeff and Annette's ward brought cookies with their leaders and two counselors in the bishopric. Their ward may not be big, but their big hearts sure make up for it! We are so grateful for the love and support of these sweet young women, girls Annette has worked with for many years. It meant a lot for them to visit and we want them to know how grateful we are for their loving service! 

Many decisions are pending about the future. We ask for your prayers that Jeff and Annette be guided to make the best choices for our dad's continued health and strength. It's not always easy to know what the best course of action is, but with the Lord's guidance everything will work out okay.
