Day 63, Sunday October 25

Last night was one of the most painful nights Jeff has ever had since the accident. It was so bad be couldn't sleep at all. After being awake until midnight it ended up being a movie kind of night.

Three movies later it was 6am and he quietly waited for Annette to come for breakfast. Thankfully Sundays are more relaxed and he was able to take a couple of naps between everything else.

Even feeling so yucky Jeff wanted to go to church. It didn't end up working out because there was no way to get him ready in time. The staff was unavailable to assist Annette in dressing him and doing morning cares. This actually allowed for him to take a little nap before therapy and gave him some much needed rest, a blessing in disguise.

While he still felt fuzzy during the day, it wasn't nearly as painful as it was at night. They kept therapy simple. They massaged Jeff's hands to help make the swelling go down, played tic-tac-toe, and played checkers.

Their bishop's wife, Michelle, came again with her kids and brought lunch. This was a special treat for Jeff and Annette and they said it was very good! What a thoughtful and kind act of service. We are so grateful for their love and support!

Jeff and Annette were able to finish watching the movie they started last night. We are grateful it was a restful day. Not sleeping enough can cause its own discomfort and problems. Heaven knows Jeff doesn't need anymore of either.

Brandi and her family were supposed to visit tonight, but her youngest daughter Sierra has been sick with a fever, so they decided it was probably best to stay home. We pray their family returns to full health quickly!

It's been a rough week for our dad and our mom. Our hearts are heavy as they struggle through each day. We pray that this coming week will be one of progress and that our dad might start to feel better again.
